"Therapy with Carolina was a turning point. I was living on autopilot, trying to adapt to the country and adult life at the same time. In the sessions, I found a safe space to talk about identity, purpose, and choices."
I was able to reorganize my life and make decisions with more clarity.”

Transformation Stories

Below, you will find accounts and feedback (preserving patient anonymity in accordance with professional ethics) from Brazilians who, like you, sought support to navigate the challenges of life abroad. These are stories of overcoming obstacles, reunion, and mental health.

1. Report

Overcoming

Loneliness in Expatriation

Many patients arrive at the office feeling 'empty' even when surrounded by people in cosmopolitan cities like London. A striking case was that of a Brazilian woman who, after a year in the United Kingdom, felt she didn't belong anywhere. Through psychotherapy, we were able to reclaim her identity and develop strategies for authentic connection. Today, she not only feels at home but has built a real support network abroad.

2. Report Anxiety and

the "Mode

Alert"

I followed the process of a professional who lived under constant stress due to the bureaucracy and instability of immigrant life . The 'high-alert mode' was affecting their sleep and physical health. The therapeutic work focused on emotional regulation and the creation of 'islands of stability' within their routine. The result was a smoother life transition, replacing fear with presence and conscious planning.

3. Report

Crisis of

Professional Identity

One of the most common challenges is grieving the loss of a degree and career left behind in Brazil. I worked with a patient who felt unqualified when starting over in Europe. Together, we worked through this grief and rebuilt her professional self-esteem. This process allowed her to discover new skills and begin a successful career transition aligned with her current values.

4. Report

Reconnecting Abroad

Immigration tests the limits of any relationship . I treated a patient who was on the verge of separating due to isolation and lack of a support network outside of Brazil. In therapy, he was able to 'reconnect' with the new versions of himself that emerged abroad. This reconnection transformed the crisis into a phase of profound maturation in their life together.
